AEG’s Tim Leiweke to Speak at the “Leaders in Football” Conference?

Every once in awhile I get a google alert in my inbox that is so surreal I have to check the date to be sure it’s not April 1.

This was one of those alerts.

Apparently Galaxy CEO Tim Leiweke will be speaking at the “Leaders in Football” Conference?

Yeah, seriously.

In a press release, the conference organisers say Leiweke will deliver a keynote address to the 1,000 delegates at the event, on how to create, build and manage sports and entertainment properties

and then drive them into the @#$%ing ground!!

Oh, wait. Maybe I added that last part.

(Wow. This Beckham-related Galaxy fan bitterness is hard to shake, isn’t it?)
